Shooting Stars to Host Warri Wolves at New Venue in Abeokuta
Abeokuta, Nigeria – Shooting Stars have selected the MKO Abiola Sports Arena as their new home ground for matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). This decision follows recommendations to relocate due to the poor condition of the pitch at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, which has been deemed unsuitable for television broadcasts.
Previously, the Oluyole Warriors were given the option to move to either the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos or the MKO Abiola Sports Arena. They will debut their new venue against Warri Wolves this weekend.
The club is expected to return to their original stadium if it receives necessary approval from the league governing body. Currently, Shooting Stars hold the seventh position in the NPFL standings, with 35 points and are seeking to end a two-match winless streak.
