‘Tinubu must go’ – Sowore leads protest in Abuja [VIDEO]

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), led a protest in Abuja on Thursday calling for the resignation of President Bola Tinubu.

In a video shared on social media, Sowore was seen at the forefront of the demonstrators, rallying crowds with the chant “Tinubu must go” as they moved through the streets of the Nigerian capital. The protesters carried placards displaying images of President Tinubu with similar inscriptions demanding his departure from office.

Sowore’s protest comes as he is currently facing trial in the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of cyberstalking and criminal defamation related to comments made about President Tinubu. The case was initiated by the Department of State Services (DSS) under the amended Cybercrimes Act, following social media posts in August 2025 where Sowore described the president as a “criminal.”

For further details, a video of the protest is available here.
