LaLiga: I won’t even put you on the bench – Mourinho warns Real Madrid players
Real Madrid Manager Jose Mourinho has issued a stern warning to his squad regarding their behavior on and off the field. This comes in the wake of criticism directed at winger Vinicius Junior, who has faced booing from some sections of the fanbase due to a dip in form.
Mourinho defended Vinicius, stating that the young player is putting forth significant effort despite his struggles this season. The manager noted that the criticism may stem from Vinicius’s decision to decline a summer transfer to Arsenal, a choice that has raised eyebrows among supporters.
“I will only have an issue with players who are not giving their all,” Mourinho said. He emphasized that any player failing to meet the club’s standards would not be considered for matchday selections.
He asserted, “When a Real Madrid player stops behaving like a Real Madrid player, you won’t even get a chance to boo him. That’s because he won’t sit on the bench.”
Mourinho’s remarks highlight his commitment to maintaining high expectations within the team, as the club seeks to navigate a challenging season.
