Sowore shared the video on his verified X account on Monday, asserting that the incident was being minimized by some observers as a mere altercation.

In his post, Sowore stated, “This is yet another footage of the brutal attack on me and members of our team in Ado-Ekiti. How anyone could watch this violence and dismiss it as a mere ‘altercation’ is beyond comprehension. We maintain that this was a coordinated assassination attempt.”

The attack occurred during Sowore’s visit to Ekiti last week, prompting a strong backlash on social media, where many Nigerians condemned the violence. While Sowore characterizes the event as a targeted assassination attempt, law enforcement officials have described it as a clash between Sowore and other individuals present during the incident.
