Istanbul — Former Beşiktaş midfielder Sinan Engin has highlighted Victor Osimhen, Noa Lang, and Gabriel Sara as key players in Galatasaray’s resounding 5-2 victory against Juventus in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoff on Tuesday.
Osimhen, a 27-year-old Nigerian forward, delivered a standout performance, providing two assists and consistently pressuring Juventus’ defense throughout the match.
“I was proud of Galatasaray. Galatasaray is truly a European team. They dismantled Juventus,” Engin stated during an appearance on the Asist Analiz YouTube channel.
He underscored that while many players contributed significantly, the overall performance of Galatasaray was deserving of the spotlight. “You could name a few players such as Osimhen, Sara, and Lang, but the star of the match was Galatasaray,” he added.
The victory positions Galatasaray favorably as they prepare for the return leg against the Italian side.
