Nigerian troops arrest Boko Haram drone supplier, neutralise top commander
Troops Neutralize Former Boko Haram Commander in Zamfara State
Madagali, Zamfara State — Troops from Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters, have neutralized Abdullahi Mafa, a former hybrid commander of Boko Haram, in the Madagali area.
In a separate operation, security forces arrested Dauda Usman Gubula, identified as a suspected drone and logistics supplier for the terrorist group. Both actions occurred during an ambush along the Visik River line on Thursday, according to security expert Zagazola Makama.
Officials reported that Gubula was apprehended during a raid at the Madagali Motor Park, where authorities recovered two aerial drones and 20 solar power banks from his possession.
Gubula is currently in custody and undergoing investigation as troops continue their efforts to dismantle Boko Haram networks and enhance security in the region.
