Mass resignation: Gov Aiyedatiwa not most useless governor in Nigeria — Akinrinlola

Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola Defends Governor Aiyedatiwa Amid Resignations of Aides
Prominent journalist and pastor Olumide Akinrinlola has rejected claims labeling Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as “the most useless governor in Nigeria.” This response follows a wave of resignations among the governor’s aides.
Reports indicate that the governor’s senior special assistant for diaspora matters, Fola Olasehinde-Vicente, recently submitted her resignation in a letter that gained significant attention online. Earlier, two media aides, Olugbenga Abire and Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila, also stepped down from their positions.
The ongoing resignations prompted concern from Iretidola Akinrowo Ojekhoa, who took to Facebook to comment on the troubling trend surrounding Aiyedatiwa’s administration. The discourse intensified when Ayodele Ezekiel Ozugbakun, a bureau chief at Television Continental in Abuja, referred to the governor in the comments section as “the most useless governor in Nigeria.” His remark sparked a backlash.
In response, Akinrinlola utilized his verified Facebook account to voice his disapproval. He criticized the comment as unprofessional, stating, “While I do criticize the governor and others to hold them accountable, I would never stoop to making unprofessional remarks like this. It is an insult to the office of Alagbaka and is entirely unacceptable. He should withdraw this statement and apologize immediately.”
