Britain should come colonize Nigeria again – Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima, a prominent leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), has made a controversial proposal for the recolonization of Nigeria by Britain. Galadima expressed his views during an appearance on an AIT program, which was monitored by DAILY POST.
In his remarks on Nigeria’s current state, Galadima criticized the government for what he described as selfishness, urging officials to prioritize the protection of citizens and create a conducive environment for national development.
“The government should remove selfishness and do the job of protecting the citizens and providing an enabling environment for them to thrive,” he stated.
Galadima suggested that engaging mercenaries might be one solution to address the country’s challenges. He further argued that if mercenaries could not be deployed, Nigerian leaders should consider inviting Britain to re-establish colonial rule.
“Colonization could help sanitize the country, reinforce the rule of law, and instill principles of democracy and good governance, ultimately leading to a reduction in corruption,” he said.
Galadima’s comments have sparked various reactions as they raise significant questions about the nation’s governance and future direction.
