This directive was issued during a two-day workshop aimed at educating contractors and stakeholders involved in project execution across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Mr. Onyinye Nwosu, the Director-General of the Abia State Projects Implementation Bureau, addressed the assembled contractors and project supervisors, emphasizing the importance of ensuring value for money in government contracts. He underscored the necessity for participants to leverage the insights gained from the workshop and advocate for quality in public service, promoting high standards throughout government institutions.

Nwosu cautioned contractors against common pitfalls that can arise during project execution, highlighting the critical role of quality control. He noted that strict monitoring of construction materials is essential to avoid costly mistakes.

Proper supervision of ongoing projects and the establishment of safe working environments at project sites were also identified as crucial elements of successful project management.
