Kano State Government Approves Early Salary Payment for Civil Servants
The Kano State Government has approved the immediate disbursement of March 2026 salaries to civil servants. This initiative aims to assist employees in preparing for the upcoming Eid el-Fitr celebration.
In a statement released on Saturday, the directive came from the office of the Governor of Kano State. Acting Head of Service Bilkisu Shehu Maimota emphasized that the early payment is intended to ensure that workers can celebrate Eid el-Fitr in a convenient and dignified manner.
Maimota noted that the decision reflects the administration’s concern for the welfare of civil servants and acknowledges their dedication to the state’s development. She urged employees to use the funds responsibly and to maintain their commitment to their responsibilities.
“Civil servants are encouraged to utilize this gesture wisely while continuing to demonstrate commitment, discipline, and efficiency in their duties,” Maimota stated, highlighting the importance of improved service delivery in the state.
The Kano State Government reiterated its commitment to policies designed to enhance the welfare of workers and increase productivity within the civil service.
