Ghanaian Singer Shatta Wale Claims Rift with Burna Boy Stemmed from False Rumors

Accra, Ghana — Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has publicly stated that his relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy deteriorated due to unfounded rumors regarding an alleged affair with Burna Boy’s girlfriend during a visit to Ghana.

In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Shatta Wale recounted offering Burna Boy a warm welcome by providing accommodations and transportation during the Nigerian star’s stay in Ghana. However, he claimed that following his separation from certain team members, misleading accusations began circulating among influential figures in his life.

“They told Burna Boy that I was involved with his girlfriend who accompanied him to Ghana. He unfortunately believed it,” Shatta Wale said.

He expressed frustration at being unable to reach Burna Boy after the artist’s rise to prominence. Despite multiple attempts to communicate, his calls and messages reportedly went unanswered. Shatta Wale also reached out to Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, who attributed the lack of response to various excuses.

While expressing happiness for Burna Boy’s success in the global music scene, Shatta Wale voiced disappointment over the inability to clarify the false claims made by his former team members.
