Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, encouraged the Grammy-winning artist to contemplate starting a family during his 35th birthday celebration on July 2.
In a video shared by close associate Richie 7 on Snapchat, Ogulu highlighted the importance of including “good wife and children” in the singer’s birthday wishes, prompting a lighthearted exchange. When asked to make a wish, Burna Boy expressed his desire for “good health and prosperity,” to which his mother added her own suggestion.
The artist, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, has previously addressed his unmarried status and lack of children. In past interviews, he cited his demanding music career and the desire to be fully present in his children’s lives as reasons for his current focus on work over family.
Burna Boy has made it clear that he prefers not to have children out of wedlock and seeks stability before embarking on that chapter of his life.
