Gary Neville Maintains Faith in Arsenal for Premier League Title
Former Manchester United player Gary Neville has reaffirmed his early-season prediction that Arsenal will secure the Premier League title.
His comments followed a dramatic 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Newcastle United during the league’s late match on Sunday. Liverpool managed to salvage a point thanks to a penalty converted by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 99th minute.
Earlier that day, Manchester City came from behind to defeat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
During a segment on Sky Sports, Neville noted that several top teams have been grappling with the integration of new players and coaching changes.
“We’ve got new managers, lots of new players, and so much change at the top. Arsenal should win this league by a street,” he said. “We’ve seen Tottenham get beaten, Manchester United lose, Liverpool nearly lose, and Manchester City scrambling for a win at home.”
Neville emphasized the unpredictability among the top teams, a trend he had anticipated for the beginning of the season. “The unpredictable nature we thought we’d see at the top, we have seen on this opening weekend. It’s played out pretty much how I thought it would,” he added.
