EPL: Guardiola, Arteta not afraid of Man Utd appointing Carrick – Roy Keane

Roy Keane Questions Michael Carrick’s Appointment as Manchester United Manager
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has expressed skepticism regarding the club’s decision to potentially appoint Michael Carrick as permanent manager.
Carrick, 44, was appointed on an interim basis in January after Manchester United parted ways with Ruben Amorim. Under Carrick’s guidance, the team has significantly improved, securing a return to the UEFA Champions League and currently positioned to finish in third place in the league standings.
Despite these achievements, Keane remains unconvinced that Carrick is the right choice for the long-term leadership of the club. During a recent appearance on the podcast “Stick to Football,” he raised concerns about the impact Carrick’s appointment might have on rival managers.
“If you are Pep Guardiola or Mikel Arteta and you’re on holiday, sitting on your yachts, and you see Michael Carrick being announced as Manchester United manager, do you think they will be fearful of him?” Keane questioned.
As the club weighs its options, the discussion around Carrick’s potential permanent role is likely to continue.
