EPL: They have fewer obstacles – Joleon Lescott predicts team to win title
Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has forecasted that Arsenal will clinch the Premier League title this season.
Lescott believes that Mikel Arteta’s squad faces fewer challenges compared to their rivals, particularly after Arsenal’s triumph in the league last season.
“It is very early to make predictions, but you would say Arsenal,” Lescott stated in an interview with Mirror Football.
“Considering the key factors, they probably have fewer obstacles ahead of them than Manchester City. Arteta has continuity with the players, and the squad now has genuine belief, so I would say Arsenal. I know how difficult it is to win back-to-back titles, but that is my overriding opinion.”
This prediction follows Arsenal’s convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
