Theo Walcott, the former Arsenal forward, has identified Liverpool as a potential contender for the Premier League title this season.
In comments made to BBC Sport, Walcott praised Liverpool’s manager, Andoni Iraola, describing him as an “excellent manager.” He highlighted the potential impact of players Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, suggesting that their performances could be crucial to Liverpool’s success this season.
“Liverpool are probably the hardest team to call,” Walcott remarked. “If Isak and Wirtz have big seasons, they could absolutely push Arsenal for the title.”
Arsenal secured the Premier League championship last season, while Liverpool finished in fifth place.
