FCT projects: How I begged my wife to pray that Tinubu’ll not look away from me – Wike

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Highlights Support from President Tinubu

Bwari, FCT — Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), emphasized the importance of continuous support from President Bola Tinubu during an event on Tuesday. Wike urged his wife, Suzzette, to pray for sustained backing from the administration for the FCT.

Wike made these remarks during the commissioning of a water supply network in Bwari Satellite Town, a project intended to commemorate Tinubu’s third year in office.

“The happiness of the people reflects on those in positions of authority,” Wike stated. He emphasized that governance aims to improve the quality of life for citizens and affirmed that Tinubu is committed to these objectives.

Referencing his experience as a former governor and minister, Wike noted the significance of having presidential support in achieving effective governance. “Every day, I remind my wife to pray for the President not to overlook our needs. Under his leadership, we have received the support necessary to transform the narratives in the FCT,” he said.

Wike also highlighted the positive response from residents of the FCT, who recently demonstrated their satisfaction during local council elections by voting for candidates aligned with Tinubu’s vision.

“I am aware of your happiness, which was evident in the last area council election when you supported all the chairmen in favor of Bola Tinubu—a historic occurrence in the FCT,” Wike added.

The minister reassured attendees that the FCT Administration under his leadership remains committed to fulfilling the expectations of the President and the local population.
