Guinness declares N265bn revenue, PAT up 53% to N25.3bn

Guinness Nigeria Plc has expressed confidence in its business trajectory as the company embarks on a new phase of growth characterized by enhanced profitability and a robust balance sheet. This outlook was shared during the company’s first half 2026 (H1’26) Investors and Analysts Call, featuring insights from Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Girish Sharma, Finance and Strategy Director Mayank Kabra, and Corporate Relations and Legal Director Rotimi Odusola.

For the six months ending June 30, 2026, Guinness Nigeria reported revenues of approximately N265 billion, with profit after tax increasing by 53% to N25.3 billion. This robust performance underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to quality growth, operational efficiency, and improved financial stability.

A notable highlight from the reporting period was a significant reduction in net debt, which decreased from approximately N37 billion to around N19 billion. Shareholders’ equity also rose from N43.3 billion to N64.2 billion, marking substantial progress in deleveraging efforts and balance sheet enhancement.

During the call, Sharma highlighted the company’s ongoing strategic initiatives to build a more resilient business. “We have made significant progress in strengthening our financial position while continuing to invest in the growth of the business,” he stated. “The days of operating with a weak balance sheet are behind us. Today, we are in a much stronger position to pursue growth, improve returns, and create sustainable value for our shareholders and other stakeholders.”
