JAMB warns candidates against re-uploading O’Level results, obtaining new verification code
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to candidates regarding the submission of their O’Level examination results. In a statement released by Fabian Benjamin, the Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, the Board advised individuals who have already uploaded their results not to re-submit or request a new verification code in light of a recent change in verification procedures.
This clarification comes amid inquiries from candidates seeking guidance on the new verification system. JAMB confirmed that this directive applies to students who submitted their results during the current registration period as well as those who used the previous system in prior years.
“All candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code again,” the Board stated. It emphasized that results submitted under the previous process remain valid and will continue to be accepted on their platform.
The new verification process is designed to enhance scrutiny of O’Level results and to mitigate instances of falsified documents being used for admissions. JAMB indicated that institutions will carry out any necessary verifications for results uploaded under the old system.
The Board urged candidates not to upload their results again simply due to the introduction of the new verification arrangement.
