Lagos Police Intercept Truck Carrying Military Camouflage and Suspected Drugs
LAGOS — The Lagos State Police Command has intercepted an unregistered MAN diesel truck at the exit point of Lagos, discovering 47 sacks of military camouflage uniforms and 80 cartons of substances believed to be illicit drugs.
A statement from the police, released on Tuesday by spokesperson SP Ambimbola Adebisi, confirmed the arrest of four suspects, who are currently in custody.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the military uniforms were intended for transport to the southeastern region of Nigeria.
“Investigation is ongoing to determine the source, ownership, and intended recipients of the recovered items, as well as the extent of the suspects’ involvement,” Adebisi noted in the statement.
Additionally, police efforts are focused on apprehending other individuals connected to the case. Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
