Evra’s remarks come after the club experienced two consecutive seasons without a league championship under previous managers, including Carlo Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso, and Alvaro Arbeloa.
Real Madrid recently appointed Mourinho to a three-year contract, tasking him with revitalizing the team’s performance in Spain’s top-flight league. Speaking with the SDFN Network, Evra highlighted Mourinho’s winning mentality and his potential impact on the squad.
“Real Madrid winning LaLiga? Jose Mourinho has to change something at Real Madrid. I can’t debate that,” Evra stated. “I believe it. The transfers, the players he brought in, are to win. He is a winner.”
Real Madrid will kick off their LaLiga campaign with an away match against Espanyol on Saturday night at RCDE Stadium.
