Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor
A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old housegirl in Yola, Adamawa State. The suspect, identified as Adamu Mohammed, reportedly lured the minor into his residence and spent the night with her.
The Adamawa State Police Command announced the arrest, stating that the girl had been reported missing by her employer after extensive searches failed to locate her.
According to police spokesman SP Suleiman Nguroje, the girl’s disappearance prompted her master to file a formal report with authorities.
Nguroje confirmed that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted, and the suspect is expected to face charges following the conclusion of this inquiry.
