Sporting Lagos has officially announced the departure of striker Alex Leme after just one season with the club. Leme played a pivotal role in helping Sporting Lagos secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, notably scoring the decisive goal that ensured the club’s move to the top flight.
In light of Leme’s exit, Sporting Lagos is now expected to seek new attacking options to bolster their lineup. The club will begin its NPFL campaign on Sunday with a match against Doma United at the Pantami Stadium.
