NPFL: Ugwu bids farewell to Bendel Insurance after Mosta FC move
Defender Emmanuel Ugwu has officially departed from Bendel Insurance, a club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), to join Mosta FC in Malta.
In his farewell statement, Ugwu expressed appreciation for the support he received from fans and teammates during his tenure in Benin City. Over the course of his time with Bendel Insurance, he made 46 appearances.
“Can a city, a dressing room, and a team become your home? Yes,” Ugwu stated in his message. “That’s what Benin City was for me. That’s what Bendel Insurance was for me.”
Ugwu reflected on his initial experiences at the club, noting the camaraderie among teammates and the kindness of the captain. “Bendel Insurance can’t be described in words. It has to be experienced,” he said.
He concluded by emphasizing his dedication to the club and his readiness for a new challenge ahead. “Thanks, everyone. I gave my all in every minute I played, and in every training session. Always. Now a new challenge begins for me.”
