NWFL: C2E Sports Academy, Obosa Queens FA secure Championship promotion
C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens FA have secured promotion to the 2026-27 Nigeria Women Football League Championship after a decisive victory in the NWFL Nationwide final.
In a closely contested match held at Enyimba Stadium on Sunday, C2E Sports Academy triumphed over Obosa Queens FA with a score of 2-1. This victory marks a significant milestone for C2E, representing the academy’s first national title since its establishment.
C2E Sports Academy has garnered a reputation for nurturing young female athletes in Abia State and across the South-East region. The final match concluded the 2026 Nationwide season, setting the stage for both clubs to advance to the Championship, which serves as the second tier of women’s football in Nigeria.
