Ogun Police Kill Two Suspects in Kidnapping Case

Operatives from the Ogun State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit have killed two suspects implicated in the abduction of Prince Idris Adesulu, also known as Osho, in the Odogbolu Local Government Area.

According to reports, Prince Osho was kidnapped from his residence on Ogbe Road around 7:30 p.m. on June 30, 2026. Witnesses described how armed assailants ambushed the area as the prince arrived home, opening fire as family members managed to escape. The attackers forcibly abducted Osho during the incident.

In a statement issued Thursday, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said that following the kidnapping, Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni promptly activated the anti-kidnapping unit and other tactical teams to secure the victim’s release and apprehend the assailants.

Babaseyi confirmed that Prince Osho was released unharmed on July 3, 2026.

“Following the victim’s release, operatives intensified efforts to apprehend the kidnappers,” Babaseyi stated.

Using credible intelligence, law enforcement officials conducted a raid in the Agoro/Imodi area. Upon spotting the police, the suspects engaged officers in a gunfire exchange, which resulted in the deaths of two abductors. Other gang members reportedly fled with injuries.

A search of the deceased suspects led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, two mobile phones, a bag believed to be connected to ransom activities, and other evidence related to the abduction.

Babaseyi noted that the bodies of the neutralized suspects have been sent to a government morgue for autopsy. Efforts are ongoing to locate other suspects and gather additional evidence.

The Commissioner commended the anti-kidnapping unit and other tactical teams for their courage and professionalism during the operation. He emphasized the police’s commitment to dismantling criminal networks in the state and urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to law enforcement.
