The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has announced the passing of his elder brother, Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Sodiq Lawal, the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Ooni’s Palace, the monarch described Prince Adetunji as a distinguished entrepreneur known for his humility and commitment to humanitarian service.
The statement emphasized that Prince Adetunji’s death has created a significant loss for the Ogunwusi family, the Ojaja Royal Dynasty, and the entire Ile-Ife Kingdom.
Prince Adetunji, born on December 8, 1967, was a member of the Ojaja lineage of the Giesi Ruling House in Ile-Ife. He served as the Group Chairman of Primewaterview Holdings. The Ooni highlighted his brother’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and visionary leadership in business while underscoring his dedication to charitable endeavors.
According to the traditional ruler, Prince Adetunji’s contributions positively impacted many lives through his generosity, wise counsel, and selfless service.
