Troops Rescue Kidnapped Woman in Plateau State
Plateau State, Nigeria — A 47-year-old woman, identified as Mrs. Paulina Alfred, was rescued Tuesday by troops from Sector 3 of Operation Enduring Peace following a kidnapping incident in Dong Village, Jos North Local Government Area.
According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, Mrs. Alfred was abducted from her home prior to her rescue. The operation was initiated after community members alerted authorities.
Military sources reported that the troops launched a search operation around 7:00 a.m., tracing the kidnappers to the Rafin Bauna area in Bassa Local Government Area. As the search intensified, the increasing pressure from the troops caused the kidnappers to abandon Mrs. Alfred.
“Mrs. Alfred was found and rescued by the troops without further harm,” Makama noted. Following her rescue, she was debriefed by security personnel before being reunited with her family.
