Peter Obi mourns Emir of Gumel, Sarkin Zamfara of Zurmi


Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed his condolences following the recent deaths of two prominent traditional rulers in Nigeria: Alhaji Bello Sulaiman, the Sarkin Zamfara of Zurmi, and Ahmed Sani II, the Emir of Gumel.

In a message of sympathy, Obi extended his thoughts to the communities of the Zurmi Emirate in Zamfara State and the Gumel Emirate in Jigawa State. He highlighted the significant contributions of both rulers in preserving local culture and traditions, as well as their efforts in fostering peace and unity within their regions.

“I offer my heartfelt sympathies to the people of Zurmi Emirate in Zamfara State and the people of Gumel Emirate in Jigawa State regarding the demise of two esteemed traditional leaders,” Obi stated.

He prayed for divine forgiveness for the deceased rulers and requested that they be granted Aljannatul Firdaus. Additionally, Obi offered prayers for the families and subjects of the late rulers, wishing them strength in coping with their losses.
