Delta State Police Arrest Ten Suspects in Drug Raid
OWHELOGBO, Delta State — The Delta State Police Command’s Anti-Cult Unit (CACU) has apprehended ten individuals and seized illegal drugs during a raid in Owhelogbo Community, located in the Isoko North Local Government Area.
The arrests occurred on September 4, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to a statement from Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.
Edafe reported that the operation stemmed from credible intelligence regarding a suspect wanted in connection with an arson incident that took place in Owhelogbo in August. Following this lead, CACU operatives conducted a raid on a brothel in Abbi, where the suspect was believed to be hiding.
During the operation, police detained ten suspects, consisting of seven females and three males. Officers recovered various narcotics, including Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The profiling of the suspects is currently underway, and those found to be involved in criminal activities will face prosecution.
