Oyo State Police Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers

The Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of two individuals suspected of armed robbery. According to a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, the arrests occurred on June 15, 2026.

The suspects, identified as Ibrahim Mohammed Dabban and Ndako Sulaimon, both residents of the Sabo area in Sagamu, Ogun State, were apprehended along the Oyo/Ogbomoso corridor. Police confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody.

During a routine patrol at approximately 10:48 a.m. on the day of the arrest, officers from the Safer Highway Patrol intercepted a gold-colored Nissan Maxima with the registration number FKJ 666 KA. Following this interception, the suspects were taken into custody for further investigation.

In a follow-up operation, officers extended their investigation into Ogun State, where they recovered two pump-action rifles, three live cartridges, and one spent cartridge linked to the suspects and an alleged supplier.

The police emphasized that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety and reduce crime in the region.
