Adamawa Police Rescue Kidnapped Man

The Adamawa State Police Command announced on Saturday the successful rescue of Alhaji Rabe Suleiman, who was abducted on Friday, June 26.

In a statement released by the Command, police operatives from the Song Divisional Police Headquarters, in collaboration with local hunters, located Suleiman in the Morogma Mountains following credible intelligence. The police engaged the kidnappers in a gun battle.

“The kidnappers were overpowered by the superior firepower and tactical response of the security team, leading them to flee into the surrounding mountains with suspected bullet wounds, leaving the victim behind,” the statement said.

Items recovered at the scene included a Beretta pistol, live ammunition, a flashlight, a small bag, suspected charms, and food items.

Following his rescue, Suleiman was taken to a medical facility for examination and has since been reunited with his family, the police confirmed.
