Troops Recover Assault Rifle and Ammunition in Cultist Raid in Rivers State
Obiakpor, Rivers State — Troops from Operation UDO KA have recovered an assault rifle and ammunition during a targeted raid on a suspected cultist hideout in the Obiakpor Local Government Area.
Security expert Zagazola Makama reported on X Tuesday that the operation took place on July 13 in the Ogbogoro community, following actionable intelligence.
A suspected cult member, previously arrested, reportedly guided the troops to the location, where they seized a Beretta AR-70 assault rifle and 45 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.
According to Makama, efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend other members of the criminal group who managed to escape the area during the raid.
