Serie A: Okoye reflects on Udinese’s draw against Como
Maduka Okoye expressed his thoughts following Udinese’s 1-1 draw against Como on Saturday at the Bluenergy Stadium.
Udinese opened the scoring with a goal from Hassane Kamara, assisted by Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, in the 29th minute. However, the match saw Como equalize through Anastasios Douvikas nine minutes into the second half.
Despite the team’s inability to secure a win, Okoye conveyed a sense of satisfaction with the outcome. “It’s an important point. We played against a strong team, and we’re happy. We went out there to win, but in the end, a point is great,” he stated on the club’s official website.
The goalkeeper noted his contributions to the match, stating, “I’m happy to help the team with my saves, but the team played a great game today. We’re all happy.”
