Soldiers foil cattle theft, save driver from lynching in Kaduna

Troops Thwart Cattle Theft Operation in Kaduna State
Kaduna – Troops successfully disrupted a cattle theft operation and rescued a driver from an angry mob in Igabi Local Government Area on Tuesday.
The incident, reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X, unfolded around 2:45 a.m. when troops from Operation Enduring Peace responded to a distress call following an attack on Wuro Goshe village by suspected cattle rustlers.
According to security sources, the assailants fled upon seeing the approaching troops, leaving behind a vehicle that was reportedly carrying a stolen cow. Troops intervened to rescue the driver, who was nearly attacked by a group of furious locals gathered at the scene.
The driver was subsequently transported to the Jaji Military Cantonment Medical Centre for treatment. The cow was identified and returned to its rightful owner, while the abandoned vehicle has been taken into military custody for further investigation.
Authorities continue to pursue the fleeing suspects in an effort to bring them to justice.
