Transfer: Belgian club, Zulte Waregem snap up Nigerian youngster
Zulte Waregem has officially announced the signing of Nigerian forward Maliq Musa from Ikorodu City, a club in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Belgian club secured Musa’s signature after competing with prominent European teams, including Barcelona.
Musa will begin his career at Zulte Waregem with the Jong Essevee, the club’s U-23 team, where he will focus on developing his skills and acclimating to Belgian football before aspiring to join the senior squad.
Last season, Musa appeared in nine league matches for Ikorodu City, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has commenced training with his new teammates in Belgium.
