Transfer: Bouaddi becomes most expensive EPL teenager with Man City move
Manchester City has completed the signing of midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for a record fee of £86 million. The deal includes a fixed payment of £81.3 million, along with an additional £4.3 million in potential add-ons.
Bouaddi, 18, has agreed to a five-year contract that will see him remain with the club until the summer of 2031. With this transfer, he becomes the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history, surpassing the previous record of £58.9 million set by Manchester United for Leny Yoro in 2024.
The Morocco international gained prominence as one of the standout players during the 2026 World Cup held in North America. His arrival comes as Manchester City seeks to rebuild its midfield following the departures of key players Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Tijjani Reijnders.
