Transfer: Super Eagles goalkeeper returns to Bendel Insurance

Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has returned to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Bendel Insurance, signing a one-year contract. The announcement was made by the club on their official social media account on Monday.

“Back where it all began. Former captain and Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie returns and signs a one-year contract. Welcome home, Amas. The story continues,” the club stated.

Obasogie, 26, previously left Bendel Insurance in 2024 to join Ethiopian Premier League club Fasil Kenema Sport Club. Most recently, he played for Tanzanian Premier League team Singida Black Stars FC. He was also part of the Super Eagles squad that earned a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
