Troops rescue 12 civilians from terrorists in Zamfara

Troops from Operation Fansan Yamma rescued 12 civilians during two separate operations against terrorists in Kaura Namoda and Tsafe Local Government Areas of Zamfara State on Monday, according to Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer for the operation.
The first incident occurred in Tsohon Tasha, Kaura Namoda, where troops responded to a distress call regarding an attack on a residence. Danja reported that the soldiers engaged the assailants, prompting them to flee the area and abandon six abducted civilians, who were later brought to safety and reunited with their families.
In a subsequent operation in Tsafe Local Government Area, troops observed terrorists attempting to intercept a vehicle in Kwanoni Village along the Main Supply Route. The military swiftly intervened, forcing the assailants to retreat into nearby bushes and enabling the rescue of an additional six civilians.
Danja emphasized that these operations reflect Operation Fansan Yamma’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while actively disrupting terrorist activities in the region.
