Osimhen Shines as Galatasaray Defeats Göztepe in 3-2 Showdown
GALATASARAY, Turkey—Victor Osimhen made a significant impact in Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-2 win over Göztepe at RAMS Park on Saturday night.
Göztepe surprised the home crowd by taking an early lead when Novatus Miroshi scored in the 16th minute. The visitors maintained control until just after the half-hour mark, when Colombia international Davinson Sánchez equalized for Galatasaray in the 33rd minute.
Five minutes before the hour, Galatasaray surged ahead, with Gabriel Sara scoring after an assist from Osimhen. The Nigerian striker further contributed to the team’s success by converting a penalty in the 63rd minute, marking his fifth goal in three league matches this season.
Göztepe’s Juan managed to narrow the score in the 65th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome as Galatasaray held on for the victory.
