Turkey: Salah scores first two goals for Trabzonspor in win over Istanbul Basaksehir

Mohamed Salah scored two goals on Sunday as Trabzonspor secured a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in a Turkish Super Lig match. This marked Salah’s first start for Trabzonspor since joining the club as a free agent from Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

The match represented Salah’s third appearance with Trabzonspor, following a brief appearance off the bench against Kasimpasa last weekend and a start in the Europa League play-off first leg against Ferencvaros.

The 34-year-old forward opened the scoring by intercepting a pass from Basaksehir goalkeeper Muhammed Sengezer and finding the net. Eldor Shomurodov equalized for the visitors, but Salah secured the win with a second goal from 10 yards out.
