Governor Uba Sani Praises Kaduna State Pilgrims for Conduct During Hajj
Makkah, Saudi Arabia — Governor Uba Sani commended the pilgrims from Kaduna State for their exemplary behavior while participating in the 2026 Hajj. His remarks came during a meeting with a high-level delegation that provided an update on the pilgrimage.
In a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, the Governor expressed appreciation for the diligent service delivery by officials accompanying the pilgrims. He highlighted the group’s achievements, indicating that they have set a standard in Hajj service.
Governor Sani reminded the pilgrims that Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, emphasizing the importance of patience, perseverance, and devotion during this spiritually significant journey.
The update provided by the Hajj Delegation aligned with the reports he had received prior to his arrival in Saudi Arabia.
Leading the delegation, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, briefed the Governor on the agency’s comprehensive operations. He outlined various activities, including the sensitization of intending pilgrims, the medical screenings conducted at the Hajj camp, and the logistics of transportation to Saudi Arabia.
Abubakar also detailed the successful experiences in Madina, their stay in Makkah, and the progression through the pilgrimage rites from Arafat to Muzdalifa, culminating in the symbolic stoning of the devil at Jamrat and the return to the tent city of Muna.
The delegation included key figures such as Professor Bello Ayuba, the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary and member of the Hajj Delegation Committee, as well as Hon. Nazir Abubakar, Chairman on Interfaith and Hajj at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, and Malam AbdulRaham Abuhunain. Abubakar Usman Yusuf, Director of Operations of the pilgrims agency, was also part of this delegation.
