WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons to embark on UK tour

Super Falcons to Train in the UK Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations

The Super Falcons of Nigeria, the reigning champions of Africa, will conduct a training tour in the United Kingdom from May 23 to May 28 as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

During this training camp, the team is set to play one friendly match, according to reports from Savid News. Head coach Justine Madugu plans to use this opportunity to evaluate new talent, especially as many key players are expected to miss the camp due to club commitments.

Previously, the Super Falcons were scheduled to play double-header friendlies against Cape Verde at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne last month. However, those matches were canceled after Cape Verde announced they would not participate.

Looking ahead, the Super Falcons are expected to play additional friendlies during the upcoming FIFA international window, which is scheduled from June 7 to June 14.
