President Bola Tinubu Takes Three-Week Vacation
President Bola Tinubu has commenced a three-week vacation to recharge following several months of intensive engagement with state affairs, according to his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare.
Addressing reporters on Sunday, Dare highlighted that the President has been heavily involved in key issues related to security and the economy over the past six to seven months, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming 2027 election campaign season.
“The President has had several months—six, seven months—of being engaged with state matters. We’ve seen monumental changes and significant decisions made regarding our security, our economy, and other governance issues,” Dare said.
He noted that the election campaign period had begun, which will entail several months of active political engagement, although he emphasized that governance will also continue during this time.
“At this point, the campaign season has just started. We have four to five months of serious campaigning. Of course, governance will still continue,” Dare stated.
He emphasized the importance of this leave for the President’s rest and preparation amidst the forthcoming political activities, assuring that Tinubu would remain involved with government matters while abroad.
According to DAILY POST, President Tinubu left for Europe on Sunday as part of his annual leave.
