Super Falcons to Learn Olympic Qualifying Opponents This Week
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to find out their opponents for the qualifying rounds of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games Women’s Football Tournament. The draw for the African qualifying phase, announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday, will take place at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday.
The event is scheduled to be streamed live on CAF TV starting at noon. A total of 35 national teams, including the Super Falcons, will compete in the qualifiers, which will consist of five rounds.
Africa will be represented by two teams in the Los Angeles Olympic Games Women’s Football Tournament. In the previous Olympic Games in Paris, Nigeria and Morocco were the representatives from the continent.
