2baba’s wife Natasha emerges Edo House of Assembly Minority Leader

Natasha Osawaru has been appointed as the minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, following a plenary session on Monday. She represents the Egor Constituency and was elevated to this position amid a significant reshuffle of the Assembly’s leadership.

Osawaru, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), made the transition from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in May 2026.

In a statement posted on her Facebook page, she remarked on her new role, describing it as “a trust” rather than a mere title. She emphasized the importance of promoting rigorous debate, accountability, and advocacy for ordinary citizens within Nigeria’s democracy.

This announcement occurs during an ongoing marital crisis between Osawaru and her husband, musician 2Baba.
