NPFL: Mangut relieved as Nasarawa United halt winless streak

Nasarawa United Secures Victory Over Warri Wolves in NPFL Showdown

Nasarawa, Nigeria — Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, expressed satisfaction following his team’s return to winning form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The Solid Miners ended a three-match winless streak with a decisive 3-0 victory against Warri Wolves at Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

Chimezie Victor opened the scoring for Nasarawa United with a penalty just before halftime. In the second half, substitutes Ngei Oluka-Efor and Habibu Alakija each contributed a goal, securing a comfortable win for the hosts.

“Congratulations to all of us in the team. It’s somewhat a relief for us because we brought ourselves to this situation, even though this is not where we wanted to be,” Mangut stated in a media interview.

Despite the victory, Nasarawa United remains in sixth place in the NPFL standings. The team will face Shooting Stars in their next match at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan, this coming weekend.
