Super Falcons climb to 36th in latest FIFA women’s rankings


The Super Falcons of Nigeria, the reigning African champions, have ascended one position to 36th in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings, released on Tuesday. This update was announced on FIFA’s official website.

Previously ranked 37th, the Super Falcons continue to hold their status as the top team in Africa. Following them are Banyana Banyana from South Africa, the Black Queens of Ghana, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, and the Copper Queens of Zambia, which comprise the continent’s top five teams.

On the global stage, Spain remains in first place, followed by the United States, England, Germany, and Japan. The next FIFA Women’s World Rankings are scheduled to be announced on June 16, 2026.
