Eberechi Eze Comments on Pressure Facing Arsenal
Arsenal forward Eberechi Eze acknowledged that his team is under significant pressure as they compete for the Premier League title.
Speaking after the Gunners’ recent 1-0 victory against Newcastle United on Saturday, Eze remarked that the squad remains focused and does not pay attention to external criticism or pundit opinions. The win at Emirates Stadium propelled Arsenal to the top of the Premier League standings, placing them three points ahead of second-place Manchester City.
Manchester City, however, has a game in hand, having participated in FA Cup duties against Southampton over the weekend.
In his post-match comments, shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, Eze stated, “I don’t hear pundits! The pressure we put on ourselves is so much more than what’s coming from outside.” He emphasized that this self-imposed pressure is crucial for success, describing it as a positive force in their pursuit of victories.
“It’s the necessary pressure to win; it’s not negative, it’s beautiful,” Eze added.
