Super Eagles: Ozoh awaits clearance to feature for Super Eagles

David Ozoh Seeks FA Clearance to Represent Nigeria

David Ozoh is seeking clearance from the England Football Association to play for Nigeria, according to reports from DAILY POST.

The 20-year-old midfielder has made five appearances for England’s U-18 team, all in friendly matches, which means he is not required to obtain FIFA clearance to switch national teams.

Born in Spain to Nigerian parents, Ozoh moved to England at a young age, giving him eligibility to represent England, Nigeria, or Spain.

As Nigeria prepares for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament later this month, he could be included in the squad by head coach Éric Chelle. Additionally, Ozoh may feature in next month’s friendlies against Poland and Portugal.

Currently on a season-long loan at Derby County from Crystal Palace, Ozoh has scored twice in 32 league matches for the Rams.
